Hi, My wife (Age 36) have been diagnosed with Pituitary Macroadenoma after MRI scan.

Size is 11.8x10.4x11.5. She has been declared with POF(premature ovarial failure) from last 9 years after delivery of only child.

Her all other tests other than FSH,LH and thyroid (which she is taking medicine from last 9 years ) have been declared normal, Recently from last 1 year she is having high BP as well.

Is there any treatment for above or only operation is the solution.

And which operation method we should choose: Using Gamma Knife(Radiation Technology) or Surgical.

There is hope.  Find a neurosugeon who specializes in pituitary tumors.  Avoid radiation at all costs.  You may have to travel to find a good doctor, but it will be worth it.  I, myself, have a pit tumor.  I had surgery this past Feb.  The surgeon wasn't able to remove much of it.  I looked for a new doctor on the Baylor Med Center website.  I found a surgeon who is on the cutting edge of pituitary surgery.  I even met another patient who had a tumor similar to mine.  She had just had her post surgery MRI and the tumor is gone.  I will be having surgery with him in two months.  He believes he can get it all or most of it.  He said it was wise to avoid radiation, especially due to my age, 57.  He said the side effects of radiation appear 20 years later.

Good luck.
