Hello.  I am a 59 year old male who had a Pituatary Adenoma 31 years ago.  December 1979 I had a tumor they said was the size of a golf ball.  i9t was on my pituitary gland.  ZI had surgery December 2nd 1979, and had it removed.  I was in the hospital with my nose packed and up under my lip packed as well.  I was in a LOT of pain after the surgery, and I begged for them to knock me out again or Kill me. But I got through it.  But to begin with, I went to another hospital that told me I just had "Cluster Headaches."  They gave me Tylenol with Codene.  It worked for about 2 hours and the head aches came back.  I went back 12 hours later and they told me it was Just headaches.  I asked to see a Neurosomething or other.  They said "NO ONE IS ON DUTY, "  I said get someone in here and diagonse me.  So they gave me Straight Codiene, and had me go to another Hospital in the morning.  6 AM I got in my car and went to the hospital. Along the way, I wsas throwing up and Seeing RED. The headaches were horrible. So I got there and waited in the er for 12 HOURS waiting for a bed in the hospital. FINALLY they got me a bed, and The next day I was getting Tests. A grams and MRI';s and more.  They came back that day and said I had a hugh tumor.  it grew into my eye cavity. It caused my eye to close and I could not move my eye in any direction. So, they did the surgery, and I am happy to say 31 years later I am still here.  Unfortunately, I have many pther problems, I just foudn our are due to the meds I take including, Thyroid meds and Cortisone meds.  So, Now I have to go to my doctor and see him regarding this new find and get some GOOD resuts.  To the girl whose moms eyesite faded away,  Get help ASAP.  Have the tumor removed, and YES it can have your eyesite fade away.  But i can come back too.  Mine did after 6 months after the surgery.  My eye opened and I got 95% maneuverability back.  I still see some diplopia (double vision) when I look up and left and right.  Since then, I have had problems with Diabetes, Weight and Stomach problems.  Now I come to find out it has to do with my LACK of testosterone.  I used to take it, but stopped cause it was very expensive.  it is also related to THYROID meds as well.

IF you have headaches more than 2 days or if they are SO INTENSE you have to bang your head to try and make it feel better, GET HELP!!!  God bless and yes it is beatable. Just believe you will be ok!
