My son (21) suffered intracerebral haemorraghe during sports; it had occurred because of AVM. The AVM was on the left side of the brain. He had afasia. He had surgery to remove both the AVM and the haematoma. He recovered nicely; his speech came back and he has no neurological problems. We thank God for this outcome....I am however still concerned about recurrence of AVM. Does anyone know something about this phenomen? The neurosurgeon is very vague about this subject and scheduled another arteriography.

Mine surgery was march 31st. I feel great and have so much energy. If you have any questions or anything to say to someone like me who had a recent avm surgery feel free!  Thanks, Paul

Hi, come to AVM SERVIVORS NETWORK, there are a great group of people that have had their AVM'S  removed and they will share their stories with you. from what I have read so far if they removed all of it, it shouldn't come back but there is a chance it could come to the site and talk with people that have had their's removed and it has been years ago and theirs is still gone.
