I am a 56 year old female and I was diagnosed with a 3 cm meningioma January 2010. My tumor was discovered after having phanthom smells. The smell of a chemical. My first thought was that something was leaking from my brain. That was my only sympton. The doctors say that I had it for 7 to 8 years as it was a slow growing tomur. On February 9th I had it surgically removed. Back home recuperating, I suffered severe headaches and was airlifted on March 28th to the hospital for removal of an infection to the area of the incision. The first operation, I was very tired and had to be in bed all the time. The second operation, I am up and cleaning the house, cooking and walking more. I'm back to work half days at my aministrative job. Thank God for the second surgery, though I had to endure the pain of IV's, Blood be taken for tests, etc. I am now taking Dylantin to prevent seizures. I hope it doesn't come back. I'm from Bermuda.
