My dad had a brain tumor removed in January. It turned out to be cancerous, but fortunately it was encapsulated in the tumor so he had 10 sessions od radiotherapy and that took are of the problem. The doctor told us from the very beginning that the brain surgery recovery was no linear, that he would have ups and downs and that eventually these would disappear. The first week after surgery he was perfect. But then his brain had a swelling and he had a seizure. He was back in hospital for about 2 weeks, and when he came out he had problems walking and talking and moving his left hand. He got a lot better, but then he needed to have an other surgery which went very well, but it seems that we are back to where we started. He is now completely rid of cancer, but he is once again having problems speaking and walking..This is so draining and frustrating for him and for all of us. Has anyone been in a similar situation?
